Have a day full of sounds and smiles, October 20!
Would you like to express your feelings with sound
all over the places in Shibuya?
SHIBUYA ZUNCHAKA! is a once-a-year music liberation zone.
If you bring your own sounds,
the place will surely be fun.
We want to bring such a space to people on the street.
We want to create a day where everyone can smile
with the sounds we bring.
Everyone who wants to express their own sound,
gather together!

Street Musician's Liberation Zone
For example, we want to create a stage where people who have just started playing instruments can perform!
We created a “wild” stage, where the performers were chosen by lottery, not by selection, in order to provide an opportunity for a more diverse range of people to perform.
Installation equipment is minimal. You do not have to use it.
You are welcome to bring your own equipment or unplugged if you like.
Would you play the most physical, most primitive, and most fetish way to do it, on the streets of Dogenzaka, which will be a pedestrian zone on this day.
We put love into every musical impulse.

"Machinaka" Center Stage - ZUNCHAKA in the middle of Shibuya! -
Would you like to perform in the middle of Shibuya?
On this day, the place where you play music becomes "the center of Shibuya".
Beginners and first-timers are welcome! (And of course, even the experts!)
We aim to ignite your passion for playing, singing, dancing, and having a great time!
We will spotlight the diverse "stars of the town"
who have yet to be discovered!
Jam bands, Jug bands, Jazz combos,
Orchestras, Guitar duos, Solo recorders by elementary school students,
Guitar x Drums, Shakuhachi x Cajon, Vocaloid x Human beat box,
Guitar, Keyboard, Biwa,
Freestyle, A cappella, Yodeling, Hoomie,
Marching band, Vaudevillian, Ding-dong,
Irish folk, Ambient, “Aidoru”,
Ska, Soca, Samba, Rumba, John Lennon, John Cage,
City pop, Shoegaze, Midwest emo,
New Orleans jazz, Free jazz, Acid jazz,
Sitar, Tonkori, Theremin, Steelpan, Nyckelharpa,
and any other music that no one knows what it is...
Whether you are a young or old, male or female, in a group or by yourself,
whether this is your live debut or your first time on stage in a long time,
whether you are just making memories with your parents, children, or friends,
SHIBUYA ZUNCHAKA! is a special day of music for all of you!
We are looking forward to receiving applications from a wide variety of musicians.

| Who can apply? |
Anyone who agrees with the purpose of SHIBUYA ZUNCHAKA! People of any age, background, and skill level are invited to participate. We welcome all styles and genres of music performances. However, if you are selected to perform, one representative must be able to attend the performers' meeting on September 1 (Sun.). *A fee of 1,000 yen per group member will be charged for the purpose of management of the event. For details, please refer to the application guidelines. |
